What Are Subscript Characters?
Subscript characters are small lowered Unicode symbols. Numbers come from the Superscripts and Subscripts block (U+2080–U+209F), while letters come from various phonetic extensions. Note: only a subset of letters have subscript equivalents in Unicode.
